Using the tools
TimestampLens is provided free of charge for general information and convenience. You may use the tools for personal and commercial work. You may not use the site in a way that breaks the law, disrupts the service, or tries to gain unauthorised access to it.
No warranty
The tools and the explanations are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy. We test our tools against published specifications and describe their limits, but mistakes can happen, and standards, browsers and third-party software change over time.
About date, time and time zone results
TimestampLens converts timestamps, dates and times, checks date formats and calculates with dates. It is an explanatory aid, not an official time source or a certified calculation tool. Local times, offsets and daylight saving changes are computed from the time zone database that is built into your browser. That copy can be older than the latest rule changes, governments can change their rules at short notice, and dates in the future are predictions, so a result for a place and date may differ from the clocks that are really in use. The device clock that the tool reads can also be wrong. Leap seconds are not modelled in the arithmetic. Where the standards leave a choice (a time that does not exist or happens twice because of a clock change, how a month is added at the end of a month, how a duration is applied to a date, how a skipped time is shifted) the page states the rule it uses, and other software may use another. The ISO 8601 standard itself is sold, not free, and was not read: the validators follow published summaries and RFC 3339, as each page says. Where a page marks behaviour as observed or not executed here, other software may behave differently. Do not rely on these tools for legal deadlines, contract or filing dates, court or tax dates, travel or appointment times, financial settlement or safety-related systems without checking the result with an independent, authoritative source for the place and date concerned.
Check results before relying on them
Always verify important results (for example before shipping code, scheduling something that matters, writing a protocol or file-format specification, or making a decision that has financial, legal or safety consequences). The tools are not professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its results. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Third-party content and links
The site links to third-party websites, for example the specifications it cites. As of 3 October 2026 it shows no advertising; if that changes, the Privacy Policy will say so first. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices. The tools use no third-party code libraries at run time. See the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The site's text, design and code are owned by TimestampLens, an independent project operated from Indonesia unless stated otherwise. You own what you enter into the tools and the results they produce for you.
Governing law and contact
